Getting started
Free Introductory Lesson
The Calgary Ki Society offers a free introductory lesson to people that are interested in training but would like to try it first. This allows the beginner to investigate whether Ki-Aikido is for them without any obligation. Ki-Aikido is an exercise of the mind as well as the body, it is important that all students participate in the Ki classes as well as the Aikido classes. As an extension of the free introductory lesson the CKS offers startup options.
Startup Options
- Startup Options - A number of one time startup options are offered to new members to encourage new trainees to continue training beyond their first month. After your free intoductory lesson look for 3 and 6 months discounted options. A special student rate is also available.
- Regular membership - Offered at regular cost plus an initiation fee, this allows the beginner to participate in any of our basic classes. Advancement into the more advanced classes is based on each individual's level of training and performance.
